Brand Barbour Silver Co.
#2819 This is a really nice Barbour Silver Co. cream pitcher. The Barbour company opened in 1892 and sold to another company in 1921. It closed in 1931. They used a nickle silver base and made very fine quality silver plated holloware. This is made in Hartford Connecticut, USA. It has been cleaned slightly, just enough to see the bottom and show that it can be shined up if wanted. It does have a small dent (hard to see) on one side toward the very top. The hinged lid works great and is intact. All the pieces are there, but it does have wear, considering it is around 100 years old or older, that is to be expected. It stands approx 4.75" high to the top point, is approx 8.5" circumference, approx 2.75" deep.It has some dings and scratches, but that adds to its antique charm. Happy Bidding!!
