DESCRIPTION: An antique Scottish cow horn whisky cup sent to me from Galloway. This is a tiny "Lady's Dram" ca 1890s.
DIMENSIONS: 2 1/4" tall - A "Lady's Dram"
STYLE OF BOTTOM: hand-cut horn
CONDITION: A fine piece for display or use. This cup is well over 100 years old. I find no significant damage, just normal wear. My photos point out areas of light delamination at both top and bottom rim, but it is not peeling. Enlarge all photos to see the condition closely. I let water stand in it over night and at the moment it does not leak. If you plan to drink from it, you will need to clean it thoroughly - but do not put it into the dishwasher or use boiling water. It will warp! Any antique horn cup can begin to leak, if it does, contact me and I will tell you how to tighten it up.
I have many antique horn cups at the time of this listing - large ale cups and small whisky dram cups. Why not have a look? Just click on the horn department on the left margin.
