The Ball and Socket Mount is a non-magnetic accessory for attaching any Pocket Transit series compass to a tripod, bipod, or monopod. Slide the compass into the mount, tighten the brass thumb screw, and hold the compass level for azimuth and inclination readings more accurate than those acquired by hand-holding the compass. Non-magnetic aluminum and brass construction materials will not affect the compass readings.
