_COWPHILOSOPHY - The Art of Practical Dairy Practice _was written by Mark H. Keeney (head of the NJ State College Dairy Extension Department) and published by Holstein-Friesian World in Lacona, New York in 1940. This is a First Edition book (photo 4). The book measures 8 1/16" x 5 1/4" and has 189 pages. The blue cloth covers are a little faded in some areas The title on the front cover and spine are in gilt gold. The front inside cover page has some light staining (photo 3) and is partially glued (probably during the publication because there is no evidence that anything else has happened) to the front inside cover page. The pages of the book are in great condition - white, clean, and with a slight gloss to the paper. There are no tears, dog-ears, or creases. I flipped through the book several times but did not go through page by page. The binding is intact. This book has a lot of good information for the dairy breeding person. I thought the chart in photo 8 was rather interesting - "An outstanding example of intelligent inbreeding." Please view all photo as they are part of the description, ask questions, and thanks for looking. Additional photos provided upon request. This book will be shipped Media Mail or can be picked up at zip code 28557, if you are travelling this way.
