MINERALIZATION:
The U.S. copper and gold mine is located about 2.25 miles south of Deja Vu #2. The U.S. Mine produced ore from a long 1300 feet mineralized zone with widths up to 130 feet and depths to over 600 feet. The old Tonopah-Belmont mine located about 8 miles in a SSE direction produced high grade gold-copper from depths over 400 feet. Other notable mines and prospects include Blue Knob, a gold, copper and platinum prospect, Morning Star, Scott, Black Pearl, Contact, Eclipse (Deja Vu group) Lead Dike, Old Car, Copper Rock, Black Crow and many others. Several mining companies and a few well funded individuals have acquired claim groups both north and south of the Deja Vu claims. With record breaking precious and base metal prices these claims will only grow in value.
The large diorite dike can be seen where it is not concealed by alluvium for about 4 miles to the north and several miles to the south. Anomalous to ore grade gold was first detected at a copper mine about 2 miles to the north just east of the main copper showing where the north striking diorite was exposed. There the diorite reaches a maximum width of 50 feet. At the Deja Vu group the diorite exceeds 300 feet in width. Several select rock samples show visible gold with abundant sulfides. Small gulches and drainages were tested at bedrock from cracks and crevices and produced fines and small flakes.
