This auction is for the #54 issue of FMR Magazine (Franco Maria Ricci) from February 1992. I've provided photographs of the table of contents page to show the coverage in this amazing issue. Topics covered include the work of Italian painter Andrea Mantegna, portraits of thirty-two Ottoman sultans from an album from the late period of the Sultanate, the craftwork displayed by the tsuba on Japan's samurai swords. Fascinating topics and stunning illustrations. Magazine is in excellent condition.
Ricci's magazine has long been considered the most beautiful magazine ever published. It's obvious why given the outstanding photographs of fine art from around the world! My parents got these back in the day and I've inherited them. I'm a retired academic historian and loved these magazines. But now that I've retired, I'm trying to downsize a bit. There's just not enough space on the shelves for all the books and stuff I've collected over the decades!
Please see my other auctions for more FMR issues.
S&H: $3.85 media rate. These are very heavy magazines as they are printed on high quality glossy paper.
