SUMMARY:
* GEORGE ALFRED HENTY (8 December 1832 – 16 November 1902) was a prolific English novelist and war correspondent. He is best known for his historical adventure stories that were popular in the late 19th century. His works include _The Dragon & The Raven_ (1886), _For The Temple_ (1888), _Under Drake's Flag_ (1883) and _In Freedom's Cause_ (1885).
* Henty gives us two brothers as heroes, Frank and Julian Wyatt from Weymouth. Julian, through some fault of his own, is carried to France by smugglers and ends up in a French prison. Given the opportunity to fight for France in Germany, Julian agrees and is off to the invasion of Russia.
Brother Frank obtains a commission in the army in England, learns Russian, fights a duel, and is sent on detached service to Russia as aide-de-camp to Sir Robert Wilson.
CONDITION:
* Condition is Good. Some wear to edges, inner spine strengthened, some color added to front and spine, some chipping, horse is suppose to be spotty/but also some white missing, blemished back, some blemishing here and there, most pages are good, hinges/text block are very good!
