JAMES CAGNEY & OLIVIA DE HAVILLAND SIGNED PAPER WITH PHOTO FRAMED AND MATTED........IN VERY GOOD CONDITION ........ ..REVIEW ALL PHOTOS
"JAMES CAGNEY" "OLIVIA DE HAVILLAND"
A charming tale of turn-of-the-century small town life in the tradition of _Meet Me in St. Louis_ (1944), The Strawberry Blonde (1941) is actually set in New York City and the blonde in question is the glamorous neighborhood girl Virginia Brush (Rita Hayworth) who has all the local boys abuzz every time she passes the barber shop.
The American gangster film, and the output of Warner Bros. in its most influential decade, would be unimaginable without the contributions of James Cagney. One of talking pictures' first generation of actors, Cagney forever romanticized the figures of the criminal and the con artist with his jittery physical dynamism and breakneck staccato vocal patterns.
Olivia de Havilland was born in 1916 in Tokyo, Japan. She signed with Warner Brothers in 1935 and in 1939 appeared as Melanie in _Gone with the Wind_. The role gained her recognition and she went on to win Academy Awards for the films _To Each His Own_ and _The Heiress_. She now lives in Paris, France.
