Mortimer Borne (Polish/American, 1902-1987) Jerusalem 1935 Etching. Framed etching, bottom left reading "Shimon Hatzadik Jerusalem 1935". Signature on bottom right. Mortimer Borne was born in Rypin, Poland in 1902 and emigrated to the US in 1916. He studied at the National Academy of Design, The Art Students League, The Beaux-Arts Institute of Design, and with Charles Webster Hawthorne, founder of the Cape Cod School of Art in Provincetown.
Framed measures approximately 16.75" x 14.25". Visible area of etching measures approximately 10.75" x 8".
