This is a wonderful and rare Noritake Deco figural serpent or dragon bowl. The creature is decorated in tanl lustre/luster and its body is glazed in blue lustre/luster. The bowl measures 8.0" in length, 3" deep and it is 4.75" high to the top of the dragon's head. It is in excellent overall condition, with no chips, cracks, hairlines, fleabites or repairs. This piece, in a different color way is pictured in David Spain's green book, volume II on Noritake on page 48, plate B.218 and when the book was published it had a book value of $120.00-$170.00. It is marked on the bottom with the Noritake Cherry Blossom backstamp in blue, mark #19.2. White spots, if any, are camera glare.
