The story behind this print! My family lived in New Orleans for many years. I lived there for several years after college. During this time I was blessed to ride on and throw doubloons into a crowd of over 1.5 million people in the Carnival or Mardi Gras via REX, King of Carnival! I picked up the habit of buying posters at this time. I'll be selling my 1972 Carnival Poster soon with doubloons to match.
I attended many of these festivals and so happened we lived next to one of the great jazz players and by his influence, grew to love this wonderful Jazz & Heritage Festival. This is an original glass, frame and numbered poster. I'm telling you this story to enhance the "story telling" of this print once it is in your home! We are moving to a smaller home and are downsizing once again!
While I was on the float I heard the people screaming, "THROW ME SOMETHING MISTER!" So MAKE ME AN OFFER MISTER OR SISTER!
Good bidding and good luck!
