Old countryside house in the village of Galiche( Which the local mayer used to reside and called the house Rosa) In the province of Vratsa. About 3 hrs car drive north from Sofia airport. The property comprises of 2 main buildings. The 1st providing 3 spacious bedrooms, but no toilet facilities.
The 2nd building provides spacious kitchen on access. The facilities are very basic. An old boiler, a fridge and a baby belling 2 ring cooker with mini oven. To the right is the medium sized living room. To the left of kitchen there is a wet room and inside toilet. They are basic amenities, which we have been happy to use, just as the local people do. There are 2 spare storage rooms we use for garden and power tools, which will all be included in the selling price. An outside toilet, no flush facility needed, and an out house building. There is also a very spacious cellar. A large sized garden, which extends around the back of the buildings and a garden to the front of the property. This property has its own water and electricity supply.
Galiche is a very pleasant and diverse village, due to one half the village being Muslim, with there mosque clearly visible on returning to from the town of Tarnava. There are several local shops to buy essentials, a chemist, a DIY store and a late night bar to enjoy a beverage in or outside. There is also a regular bus service. The river Skat is within the village and local people regularly fish there. There is the town hall and at times you can see the Storks nesting on the top of. The village holds a once weekly a Bazaar, where all kinds of items inc food can be bought for next to nothing. It's good to bring the community together having a weekly event like this.
The village is about 20 mins drive from the beautiful town of Byala Slatina. It is a very busy and modern in comparison to Galiche. You will find all the shops and stores you will need. For example many mobile phone shops, shoe and clothe shops, bric a bric and DIY stores, bar restaurants where you can eat out, banks, a large post office, police station, the notary services and the school.
The second property my father and I call is known as the Project House based in a quiet village called Sokolare, which takes around 25 mins by car. This property has had some renovation work carried out, but we don't have the time frame needed to complete the tasks necessary to make it liveable. Its had a completely new roof as one of the pictures clearly shows. Some of the flooring has been concreted and some windows with u pvc frames. However there remains re- boarding, plastering, decorating, re- wiring and garden work needed. An ideal opportunity for a tradesman to undertake. It has very good potential. This property has its own water and electric supply, but we've never had it reconnected. Due to the work needed we are not asking for payment on this property, but is held within the LTD company.
My father and I are returning to Galiche on Tues 10th May and return to the UK on Sat 21st. We will available for viewing on Frid 13th, we're not superstitious.
