Scott's International Worldwide Stamp Album (Part II 1940 to mid 1949 - Abyssinia to Zanzibar, no U.S. pages) - Pages, Binder & Stamps in Excellent Condition.
NOTE: I AM ALSO CURRENTLY SELLING TWO OTHER PART II ALBUMS/PAGES/BINDERS IN LESSER CONDITION AND A PART IV ALBUM/BINDER PAGES IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. SEE MY OTHER LISTINGS.
I am in the process of selling all of my duplicate philatelic material that I have acquired over many years while working on creating my Scott's International Stamp Collection. In working on my collection, I have bought collections, album pages, and binders from which I have taken needed material. What I have left are stamps, pages and binders that I do not need and will be selling on eBay as I finish going through each collection/lot/album.
This particular item is a Scott's International Worldwide Stamp Album (Part II - 1940 to mid 1949) that includes the Part II countries (Abyssinia to Zanzibar) for that time period. I bought this album as a backup to another used Part II album just in case that album was missing any pages. In the end, I did not have to take any pages from this album. To the best of my knowledge, all countries/pages that were part of the album when originally sold are present but I did not check to make sure every country or every single album page is present.
The album pages are in a Scott's International Part II 2-post binder that is in very good condition with little signs of any wear. During my brief review of the pages, I found that: 1) the pages have no writing or notations, at least none that I saw; 2) they had no hinges or partial hinges attached, at least none that I saw; and 3) they do not have the typical browning or feathering of the edges found on many older, used album pages. But as with all used items, some of the pages may have evidence of prior use. Please see the images depicting the binder and the pages to judge their condition for yourself and rely solely on your impression from viewing the images.
The only reason I am selling this album instead of the other one is because I had already added a large number of stamps to the other album and I did not want to remove and re-hinge the stamps into this album. Otherwise, I would have used this album for my personal album as it is in better condition.
The album appears to contain approximately three or four hundred stamps but the exact number is uncertain. There may be more stamps than that but there may be less as this estimate is strictly a guess on my part. I did not count the stamps.
Please see the images I've posted that illustrate the number of stamps for some of the countries, but make no mistake, most of the album pages have no stamps. I would consider the stamps to be an added bonus to a clean stamp album that is worthy of being used for anyone's collection.
If you are looking to begin a Scott's International Part II stamp collection, this is the perfect album to use for that purpose instead of spending over $300.00 for a new album. Please see the last two images depicting dealer websites for prices of new Part II album pages and binders verifying the cost of a new album.
Finally, the photos of the album pages that I have posted are only intended to illustrate the number of stamps contained in the countries depicted and in no way are intended to give any impression as to the number of stamps for any other country that is not depicted.
If you have any questions, I’m happy to answer them as best I can.
