Offered here for your consideration is a sculpture from a series of Squeeze bronzes created by Tobin (b. 1957) in the late 1990s. A patinated and painted bronze sculpture mounted on an aged, charred integral wooden plinth.
Tobin is one of America's important living sculptors. He lives and works in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. His work is held widely in private and major public collections, including the American Craft Museum, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the American Glass Museum, and the Musee des Arts Decoratifs in Switzerland.
This sculpture is in overall very good, as-pictured used estate condition with signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
Signed "Tobin" under plinth.
