When I found this tucked away in an attic corner, I thought it was an antique massage or chiropractor or maybe acupuncture table until I opened it and set it up. It does exactly what the name says: slants!
Who knew what this "Slanting Board" was for until an elder friend looked at it and said her dad had one of these in his car and that they were for resting on the side of the road when on a long distance road trip!
This one is in pristine condition - obviously the original owner either didn't take too many trips or didn't need to rest!
It is signed underneath "Pierce Slanting Board, Burbank, California". The fabric is in excellent condition as is the wood! It is not that heavy an folds up to form a very manageable carrying case.
It is 6' long when extended and 16" wide. When folded in half (like suitcase size) it is 36" long and 4" wide.
