Shipping with Insurance by USPS Priority Mail. Up for auction is a MATCHING PAIR OF MID-CENTURY VAL ST. LAMBERT HAND BLOWN CRYSTAL CONCERTO PATTERN FOOTED PEDESTAL COMPOTES IN PERFECT CONDITION. They were each hand blown by the famous Belgium Glass Company from 1951-1962. The one price is for both compotes. I guess that they named this pattern "Concerto" because they each have a most beautiful and slightly different "ring" when gently tapped. Each compote measures 4 3/4" high and has a 6 1/ 4" wide top diameter opening, and sits on a 3 3/8" round base, as can be seen in the photographs. Although they were purchased from an old estate sale on Long Island and were pre-owned, they are in absolutely perfect condition. I guess that's because they sat inside a closed dining room cabinet for many years because there aren't any scratches anywhere on the compotes, and even none on the bottom, where one would be expected to find them. I have been collecting unusual vintage objects for many years, and always try to describe the item as best as I can. There are absolutely no flaws that I can see anywhere on either of the pair of compotes. There are no chips, cracks, fleabites, scratches, stains, cloudiness, or repairs. Each compote is hand blown and hand signed "Val St. Lambert" and can be clearly seen on the bottom of each compote in the last two photographs. They come from a smoke-free home. I only accept PayPal, and never charge extra for packaging and handling. Shipping and Insurance costs $18.85 via USPS Priority Mail. Payment is expected within 3 days, after which I will immediately ship out the pair of crystal compotes as soon as payment is verified by eBay. Buyer may be subject to sales tax which is collected by eBay, and not given to me at all. If payment is not received within 5 days, the pair of crystal compotes will be relisted.
