Metal Sterling Silver
Jewelry Department Fashion
This is a sterling silver bracelet marked Sterling 925 Taxco on the stem. There are two other separate marks on the back of the bracelet. One says Mexico D.E. Hecho. The other one says HECHO EN Mexico and has a bird's head in the middle of the marking. It also has the letters JDR or JOR around the head of the bird. I tried to get good pictures of all the markings but they did not turn out as clear as I would've liked. The bracelet is 7 1/4 inches when it's laid out and to end. This was made by Hector Aguilar sometime in the early 1950s. This appears to be one of his warrior bracelets as it has pictures of a male and female warrior. It also has a picture of a bird holding what appears to be branches or snakes in its mouth. The picture inlays appear to be made of copper. I have not attempted to clean the bracelet but have listed it as is. I do hope you will enjoy adding this to your own jewelry collection. Have fun bidding!
